I drove in from Wimberley to San Marcos to do some shopping and decided to do an early lunch. I have never been to Taqueria Mazatlan but it looked pretty popular with all the cars around it so I pulled in. The place is fairly nice on the inside and everyone was really friendly. They have a buffet with plenty of food but I wanted to try there Huevo Rancheros so I sat at a table and had the cutest little waitress bring me a cup of coffee and a menu as soon as I sat down. She may have been small but she has the biggest smile ever..;) This is the second place in San Marcos that had the Rancheros sauce on the side in a separate container. Maybe it's the new thing. Anyway, the food came fast and there were plenty of potatoes and a couple of slices of bacon with refried beans. Also, come with 3 different sautes and chips. The beans were a little grease for me and the chips were a little harder than I like, but the price was under 7 dollars and you gotta love that. One other point of interest, that's the first bathroom I've ever been in that has ceiling fans..)

Had a milanesa de pollo torta cubana. Really good torta. The green sauce they give you goes in with the kill. Mexican coke on ice with the mix, hit the spot. Arrived at 9:45pm, buffet did not look to good. Looking forward to try more on the menu plates.

This my new go to Mexican spot! in terms of pricing, quality and freshness i rate 5/5 stars. it was even just as good and just as fresh the next day including the pico and i even microwaved it and it was just as delicious! I highly recommend this place! Went back yesterday with my son. Had the chicken Verde enchiladas there for the first time which was delicious! The portions are quite generous and the price is excellent! I can feel the love, energy and dedication the owners put into this place. The leftovers were just as yummy as the first bite! Thank you for all you do. Keep up the great work. I will be a regular here.

It was amazing, angel martin garza ii using my friends acct apparently. Anyways. But 3 hours ofnintense labor with rake , broom, and skinny shovel, in exchange for 2 plates of food for the roboto and his r2d2 lol thank you management. Dont knownwho got the better end of the deal...it was good tonsee everyone I assume get home.
